Reasonable adjustments
We want every candidate to feel supported and able to perform at their best when they make an application or meet with us to talk about a career at Waythrough. Read this information to support your applicant journey if you need reasonable adjustments.
Waythrough is a Disability Confident Committed Employer
Being Disability Confident Committed means we are part of the government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and people with health conditions.
Waythrough is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and invites all candidates to apply regardless of any disabilities or health conditions. We are committed to removing barriers where possible during our recruitment processes, therefore if you require reasonable adjustments, please let us know, and we will aim to accommodate where appropriate.
What are reasonable adjustments?
Reasonable adjustments are changes that we can make to remove or reduce a disadvantage related to someone’s disability. - Extra time or breaks during interviews or assessments
- Providing questions or exercises in alternative formats
- Providing questions in advance
- Alternative ways to submit applications

A note on job requirements and reasonable adjustments
We will always try to identify reasonable adjustments that enable you to participate fully in the selection process and, where possible, perform the core functions of the role.
However, some roles have specific, essential requirements that can’t be changed without altering the fundamental nature of the role itself.
Where this is the case, we will:
- Be transparent about which aspects are essential
- Explore every feasible adjustment before making a decision
- Discuss options with you sensitively and collaboratively

Workplace adjustments after recruitment
If you are successful in your application, we can also discuss any reasonable workplace adjustments you may need before you start your role.
