For commissioners
We can only break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value together.
Who we are and what we do
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Aquarius, which supports people in the Midlands affected by drug and alcohol use and gambling, is our subsidiary charity.
We now have a combined workforce of around 3,500 people supporting local people in over 260 services across England. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
By combining our people, expertise, resources and passion, we aim – in time – to provide access to substance use, mental health, homelessness and related services in a joined up way.
We are already finding ways to join our existing services, sharing the good ideas and improving our support. But we know the biggest gains for local people can only be achieved in partnership with the people who commission us.

We have lots of great experience of working with commissioners, community groups and other local partners to build local eco-systems which adapt to the needs of local people.
If you’re excited by our new way of doing things – or already commission us and have an idea about how services could be better joined together – then get in touch!
