If you’re concerned about your own alcohol or drug use or someone else’s you’re not alone. Telford STaRS is here to help you make sense of what’s going on and explore the next steps in a way that works for you
We’re here to help
We’re not here to judge. Our team will take the time to listen, understand, and support you in exploring what you want to change whether that’s staying safe, reducing harm, or stopping completely.
Support looks different for everyone. It might mean regular one-to-one sessions, understanding what’s behind your use, or finding new ways to cope. We can also help with your mental health, relationships, or challenges at school or home. If you’re affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use, we’re here for you too.
Everything we do is confidential, free, and shaped around your goals—no pressure, no assumptions.
We take a personalised and non-judgemental approach.. Our team includes doctors, nurses, recovery workers, peer mentors, and mental health professionals, all working with you to understand your needs and goals.
Support includes:
- One-to-one support and motivational work
- Psychosocial and psychological interventions
- Prescribing options and detox support
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Help with housing, employment, and daily life
- Community placements, including Willowdene (a rehabilitation and training centre)
- Hospital-based support and assertive outreach
