Redburn House Supported Accommodation Project
Redburn House is located in New Brancepeth, approximately 4 miles from Durham City. The project provides short-term accommodation across five self-contained units for people who are at risk of homelessness or who have recently experienced homelessness.
Our Service
Residents will have a licence agreement and will be offered a named Support Worker. Support is person-centred, holistic, and shaped around individual goals and strengths. We also offer pre-tenancy support and up to 6 weeks of resettlement support when moving on.
We’re here to help
Support is available between 10am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Our staff won’t always be on-site, but the core hours are typically 10am-12pm. Outside of these hours, support is available through an on-call service.
Support includes:
- Help to attend appointments
- Emotional wellbeing support and regular check-ins
- Developing personalised crisis and safety plans
- Support with budgeting and managing finances
- Building confidence in managing a tenancy
- Guidance with benefits and income
- Relapse prevention and recovery-focused support
- Connections to specialist and community services
- Developing routines and daily living skills
- Support into education, training, or employment
- Building social connections and community integration
The accommodation is fully furnished and includes essential household items such as white goods, crockery, cutlery, cookware, utensils, and bedding.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their space to help it feel comfortable and their own, including choosing items such as cushions, towels, and bedding. A welcome pack is provided on arrival, including basic food items and personal care products.
Additional support is available to apply to the Glasspool Fund for any further items needed.
