Pendle (Hertfordshire Crisis Recovery House)
Pendle is a short-term mental health recovery house for Hertfordshire residents experiencing a crisis. We provide a safe, welcoming environment where people can stabilise, regain confidence, and access tailored support without the need for hospital admission
Our Service
A safe, comfortable place to stay while you recover from a mental health crisis. Pendle offers welcoming, boutique-style accommodation with round-the-clock, person-centred support.
Our care doesn’t end when you go home. Before leaving, we’ll create a Wellness Recovery Action Plan to help you to stay on track with your recovery.
We’re here to help
We are a homely, non-clinical setting with seven private rooms for stays of up to seven days to help people in Hertfordshire recover from a mental health crisis. We walk alongside those who stay with us with kindness, courage and respect as we help them rediscover their strengths, build their resilience and get them ready to stay well and thrive back at home.
Each day includes one-to-one and group therapeutic sessions focused on coping strategies and recovery, and we provide practical and emotional support to help everyone return home safely.
We also signpost and link in with other support services in the community to connect people to work, learning, or volunteering.
We work closely with the NHS Crisis team to provide person-centred support to the people who use our service.
