A 24-hour crisis service using therapeutic CBT approach interventions to support people in Lancashire and South Cumbria who are experiencing mental health challenges.
We’re here to help
We offer support to those experiencing mental health decline of any nature once they have been referred to us through any mental health pathway. Oak House is a 5-bedroom house each with an en-suite, communal access to living areas and kitchen with 24-hour staffing.
We offer therapeutic CBT approach interventions to help allow you to identify any issues you may be experiencing whilst being supported to take full control and maintain your independence. Oak House will support mainly mental health issues but can provide social subscribing for any other issues affecting your mental health. We also have close links to Jaynes Place, a domestic violence refuge for women with drug and alcohol support needs which is delivered by SafeNet. Oak House supports anyone aged 16 or over.
Who is this service for
- People aged 16 or over
- People living in Lancashire or South Cumbria
- People experiencing mental health decline or challenges
- People who can keep themselves safe, abstain from any drugs or alcohol, administer your own medication
- People have capacity, have no history of fire incidents, and agree to engage
- There are other criteria which is based on individual circumstances and risks that will be accessed through the NHS RIO system and a full risk assessment will be completed by the clinical teams before acceptance into the service
Get support
Get in touch with your local mental health team for more information around referrals. This could be your GP who can refer through the IRS team, your Community Mental Health Team, the police (referring through IRS), or mental health liaison team at A&E.
Oak House does not take self-referrals and can only take referrals that come from mental health teams or that go through our gate keeping team, East Pennine home treatment team.
