Our Service

If you’re admitted to Scarborough General Hospital with an alcohol-related accident or emergency, our dedicated A&E Alcohol Worker can offer you free, confidential support and advice.

We’re here to help

We help you to make informed decisions about how much alcohol you drink. We want to help reduce the chances of people needing another trip to A&E in the future.

We can also organise to come and see you after you’re discharged (up to a maximum of three sessions). Sessions can take place in the North Yorkshire Horizons Hub in Scarborough, in a local community setting, or if you prefer, we can visit you at home.

Who is this service for

  • People 18 years old or over
  • Residents in Scarborough/Whitby
  • People who have been seen in Scarborough Hospital A&E department relating to your alcohol use
